How To Clean Your Sapphire Screen Like A Pro

Sapphire, such as from Summit Sapphire, is the hardest material that you can use for a cell phone screen. But while it is very durable, it will last longer if it is also cleaned regularly. Your screen will look much more beautiful. Also, who wants to use a cell phone that is dirty. Normally, sapphire can be cleaned using warm, soapy water. However, this can be risky on a cell phone because of the risk of your phone's internal components becoming wet. Therefore, you will need to use a different approach.

Preparing The Device

Before cleaning the device, make sure to turn it off. By having a black screen, it will be easier to see where you need to clean it. Also, take the battery out in order to reduce the risk that there will be a short circuit. Regardless of what method you use, make sure that the screen is dry before putting the battery back in and turning the phone back on.

Scrub With The Microfiber Cloth

Clean the phone with a microfiber cloth. These will not damage the glass, but are very convenient. Scrub the screen in small circles to remove most of the smudges and debris. Then, apply a cleaner that is designed specifically for cleaning touch screens. Use this cleaner sparingly. It is best used when there are smudges that nothing else will remove. You can also use distilled water to dampen the microfiber cloth. Only dampen the cloth slightly. The less moisture, the better. But even without moisture, the microfiber cloth can be effective at removing oils and dust. If your cell phone already comes with a microfiber cloth, use the one provided.

Warnings

Never use window cleaners or harsh chemicals on your cell phone. These chemicals can remove a special coating found on many cell phone screens, which can leave your phone less protected. It is helpful to keep a dry-all first aid kit with you to remove any moisture, regardless of whether you drop your cell phone in the toilet or if you are cleaning your phone and accidentally expose it to too much moisture.

If you do not keep your microfiber cloth clean, you will simply transfer dirt and dust to the cloth. In order to avoid that, soak the cloth in warm, soapy water. Then, dry the cloth thoroughly before using it again. With all of these methods, you will find that you are cleaning your cell phone screen much more efficiently.
